This report on the AI and Data Science Workforce is the outcome of a study conducted by IUSSTF and itihaasa as part of IUSSTF’s U.S. India Artificial Intelligence (USIAI) initiative.

We would like to express our gratitude to the IUSSTF Governing Board Co-Chairs, Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar, Indian Co-Chair, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, and Mr. Reece Smyth (U.S. Co-Chair), Director, Office of Science and Technology Cooperation, U.S. Department of State, for their leadership and continued support of this and other IUSSTF strategic activities.

We would also like to thank the IUSSTF team that has been a part of the USIAI journey for over two years. Special thanks to Ms. Aashita Apoorva, Ms. Subhashree Basu, and Ms. Priya Thomas, for working on the survey design, reaching out to institutions, developing content, and creating a database of resources for the larger community.
